I think my apple ID has been hacked

An Apple ID can be hacked when a password is re-used or otherwise becomes known, and particularly when two-factor authentication is not enabled—two factor provides one last means to potentially prevent an exposed password from granting access to the Apple ID.

iPhone can be hacked, but hacks have been rare and targeted, based on all available evidence. For what is probably the most recent iPhone iOS hack publicly disclosed, see the Citizen Lab discussions of the exploit that the iOS 17.0.1 update resolved.

If you’re really still on iOS 11, there are known stability and security issues with that and other older versions. You will want to upgrade that as part of re-securing your environment. The highest supported version for iPhone 6s is iOS 15, which is preferable to iOS 11.

• Create a strong password for your Apple ID, It is best if your password consists of eight or more characters and include upper and lowercase letters, and at least one number. You can also add extra characters and punctuation marks to make your password even stronger. 
• Never provide your password, passcode, security questions, verification codes, recovery key or any other account security details to anyone else. Apple will never ask you for this information.

The IOS can be hacked if a hacker wants to hack you. From what I have been taught, the targets of these issues are about 33%. Reading between the lines, if you have information the Government or bad guys want to know you can and will be hacked. Welcome to my life.

And also of course and obviously, anyone that is a target of exploits worth millions of dollars and espionage-level tooling is well outside the range of folks that can be assisted here, too. You’ll quite possibly need specialized forensic assistance with direct access to your devices, information about your particular situation and your risks, and a comprehensive review of your security. Which won’t be happening around here.
