I can't open an old FCPX library that I stored on an external hard drive. I saved an FCPX Library on an external drive 4 years ago using a different computer. When I try to open I get a permissions denied prompt. I have gone to system preferences and made sure FCP had full disk access, so that's not the problem. I also made sure that I have read and write checked. Any ideas??? Please help.

How is the drive formatted? Make sure you have the drive set for read/write for everybody as well as the contents. There should be a check box for that.
Tom, It won't let me change that setting even after I unlock it.
It's formatted NTFS. Maybe that's why?
Yes. You need to copy the contents onto and HFS+ or APFS drive if you can.
