iTunes Library
Is there a need to save the cds that I loaded onto ITunes on my Mac? I also have this library on my IPad

Syncing generally goes from the Mac to the iPhone or iPad, not the other way around. So if your Mac should crash and you lose the library, you will need to have those CDs unless you have a backup of your library (via Time Machine for example).
