Need to run Canon LBP6030B Printer on Ventura 13.5.1

Hello,

The OS doesn't recognize the printer via USB connection.

I used to be able to print with my other MAC's but not with this M1 and couldn't find any support.

There is only a "network driver" which does nothing. The device connects by USB.

Found something called "UFR II/UFRII LT Printer Driver & Utilities for Mac V10.19.15 [macOS 10.13.6 - macOS 13.5.1]" but this doesnt support M1 chips.

So no luck at all..

Please help?

On the other hand, on windows, the printer works flawless.

So this must be something between Apple and Canon?

Hi,

Did you also check whether the latest available printer driver [Mac] UFRII LT Printer Driver Ver.1.5.9 (OS X 10.11.6 - macOS 12.5.1) possibly could be used even with macOS 13 Ventura?

If this does not work, you may have to contact Canon.

Canon South & Southeast Asia appears to have macOS 13 and 14 drivers for similar models.

The latest version appears to be 1.5.12. This is the version shown for the user guide download on the European support site, and also for the latest printer driver download (for similar models) on the South & Southeast Asia site. The latest driver version on the European site seems to be 1.5.9, though. Canon should be able to clarify what is available or needed.

Addendum

It is interesting to note that the Canon Europe i-SENSYS LBP6030B support site has a UFRII LT Printer Driver v1.5.12 User Guide for Mac (pdf) under Manuals. That is, apparently, a user guide for the same driver version found for similar models and macOS 13/14 on the South & Southeast Asia site. So, one could perhaps guess that a corresponding driver later will be available via the Europan site. This would be something to ask Canon about, though.
