Where is Double Tap on my Watch Ultra 2?

I have it on my Ultra 2. Go to Settings/Accessibility on your watch. You have to have Assistive Touch off to use Double Tap. It’s one or the other. I believe a lot of watches have Assistive Touch but the Ultra 2 and Apple Watch 9 have Double Tap. They are two separate things.

@SimonSaysBoo The Gestures menu is available in watchOS 10.1. You can get it now (06 Oct 2023) by joining the public beta. It is open to anyone who is willing to run beta software. I don't know when the general release will be, but it is likely very close.

And I went through the same pain of combing Apple documentation trying to find the Gestures option. The support team appears to be ahead of the release team and they posted their knowledge base article too soon.

The Double tap option will be available with a Watch OS update later this fall.

The feature hasn't been added yet (as of this writing).

Maybe I’m missing something here but I’ve been using double tap since my Apple Watch Ultra 2 came two weeks ago day one.. I do live in the US so I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

or for more in depth functionality it’s under accessibility > assistive touch.

I am not running beta software but Watch OS 10.0.2

Those who did not watch the Apple Event for the launch of Ultra 2, then you have totally no idea what you are babbling about Double Tap Gestures. And those who did watch and did not pay attention at all, then you want wish to watch the event again. To make life easier for some lazy individuals - scroll to around 15 mins on official Apple Youtube channel.

Jeff CLEARLY states it will be available on October 2023.

Yes, that version of double tap and other gestures have been available for quite some time. The version of Double Tap that will arrive with Watch OS 10.1 is somewhat different in operation.

Correct, because the Watch OS update that provides that feature has not been released anywhere in the world.

Apple was, as I recall, clear in the announcements, that this feature would come later, just like the Journal app. You can certainly return the watch but, you may feel a bit silly if when feature you so dearly wanted comes out.

They actually did say it when they announced the new watches that it would be added later on an update.

Have you updated to watchOS 10.1.1?

Rumor says watchOS 10.1, but until double tap is a reality, 10.1 is just a rumor

How much clearer than this do you want it?

So disappointing. Apple should be it clearer that the double tap is not yet available. Very uncool!
