default camera settings to 16:9. Default is not working.

Good day. In camera settings - keep settings - camera mode is turned on. If I want to take pictures, I have to manually set the format to 16:9. If I shut down the camera and turn it back on, the 16:9 setting is not retained. I didn't have this problem with the older iPhone12. I always started the 16:9 mode after turning on the camera. On my new iPhone15 this setting will not be preserved. Don't know what to do with it?

Camera Control Preserve Settings not working - iPhone 16 PM All of the camera control preserve settings seem to be enabled and turning them off has no effect. For example, I have disabled preserve "Camera Mode", yet if I exit the camera app in video mode it will still be in video when I start it up again. I have disabled preserve "Controls Menu", yet when I open the camera control menu it will automatically go into the last tool used rather than open the list of tools. Same goes for all the other options that I've tested. I've tried restarting my phone several times, and nothing has changed. Any suggestions?
