Email trash deleting after 7 days

I believe I set my email deleted items to permanently delete after 7 days some time ago. I now want to turn that option off but I don’t find where to do it. I have an iPhone 13 on iOS 16.6.1. I have seen other threads from 2+ years ago on how to do it but those options don’t appear in the settings any longer. What do I do now? My “trash” only keeps 7 days and I need it to go back to the default 30 days.
