Bluetooth headphones connected, plays music fine, but only audio option for phone calls is speaker or iPhone. This option recently disappeared, I’ve use headphones for calls in the recent past

So I have an iPhone 13 Pro. I’ve always had the option to take calls from my Bluetooth headphones while the headphones were connected. Just recently this option has disappeared. (See picture)

I can voice to text just fine, I can listen to music on my headphones right now, but if I make a call the option to use my headphones is just not there anymore. I’ve used this exact setup hundreds of times, it’s like a software update took the option away very recently. Can anyone tell me what I can do to solve this?

Hi Lee_ms,

I had tried that 2 or 3 times, even told the phone to forget the headset and re-pair. But still the problem persisted.

Now just today the option is back.

Not sure what the cause was or what fixed it, but it’s fixed at the moment. I’ll keep an eye on it and if it disappears again I’ll try these steps and report back about the results.
