iOS 17: Siri Substitutes a Timer for Alarm

I updated to iOS 17. Siri no longer sets and an Alarm with the following prompt:

"Hey Siri, set an alarm for 60 minutes"

Instead, she sets a timer for 60 minutes.

In prior iOS versions, she would set an alarm for the appropriate time. For instance, if you used the prompt above at 8:00, she would set an alarm for 9:00.

This allowed me to keep a log of my timers for the day, incase I needed to back track.

What prompt can I use to get Siri to set an Alarm using relative time (e.g. "set an alarm for 60 minutes"). I do not want to use a prompt that uses a specific time, as I don't know the current time when setting the alarm.

So irritating. If I say, "Siri, set an alarm for 45 minutes" I get a timer. Not what I wanted because my timer is set to "turn off" what I'm working on. I want an alarm that notifies me. BUT if I say, "Siri, set an alarm for 45 minutes from now." I get an alarm. Go figure.
