Bluetooth issues on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3

I am having issues with bluetooth dropping the connection in my car and air pods pro since I upgraded my phone to iphone 15 PM and IOS 17.0.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is my main phone and I can't take the chance of having unstable IOS build on it. Any suggestions or better yet can apple just make something that works as it should for $1200 thanks!

I’m up to date on iOS 17.1.2 and still having Bluetooth issues. It’s nearly impossible to use Bluetooth in my car at this point.

Just received a new iPhone 15 Pro Max two days ago. So far, only one pair of cheap earbuds will connect and then for only about 1/2 hour and the phone drops them.

Can't connect ANY premium earbuds (Sony, Sennheiser, Bose, JBL).

Can't connect to my soundbar (Sony) or my TV (LG).

NEVER had any problem on my iPhone 13 that I traded in.

Also cannot cast to new LG 77" OLED TV - just locks up after putting in connection code. Don't know if that's Bluetooth or not.

Also does not connect to my '22 Subaru Touring Harmon Kardon system.

Serious problem with Bluetooth. Is this a defective chip in the new phones?

Went to Apple Store - Genius Bar the other day & they did some diagnostic checked re Bluet connections & guess what…”no issues detected”

was advised to try next step to “reset all settings” but the same issues.

final step is to bring it back to Genius Bar so they can do “FACTORY RESET”…

seems it’s only Bluetooth issues but it’s affects EVERYTHING!!!

That's exactly what my experience was at the not-so-genius bar. I posted previously on this but they claim they have never heard of the Bluetooth issue. I've also noticed that this Bluetooth issue is affecting my wired CarPlay. I could be connected, get out of the car and leave the phone in the car connected, start back up and I have no connection. I shut off Bluetooth and there is my wired CarPlay back. This is a huge huge issue! I literally yell at my phone 3x a day and say what a piece of garbage it is. 😂 That shouldn't be funny because it's really sad that this $1600 Apple product doesn't work!!

I returned my 15 Pro Max and am back to using my old 13 Pro Max. Everything works fine. This was the only solution as nothing Apple Support had me try worked.

Regardless of what some shills on YouTube are saying, the iPhone 15 has been a defect-ridden device. I will probably pass on this and keep using my 13 Pro Max. It has no defects and is perfectly fine. With the iPhone 15 the "latest and greatest", is not so great!

Apparently the latest version of 17.2 does resolve the issues. I haven’t installed this yet but others have and it has fixed the Bluetooth issues, such as dropped sound and static as well as the wi-fi issues that others were having. So hopefully it appears that they may have managed to fix it long at last.

Just updated to 17.1.2……. No dice… with bluetooth connected calls go straight to phone with no ability to switch even though streaming audio works….

Audio on streaming cuts in and out when more than a foot away from the radio in my car…..

its crazy because i switched from android to go to this crap….. apple that supposedly “Just Works”

I have today installed iOS 17.2b4 on my iPhone 15PM and so far, through Apple Music, YouTube, phone calls all streamed to my hearing aids and BT Headphones the BT issue seems to have been resolved. I never had any issue with CarPlay. Hopefully will stay this way!

I'm happy for you, but it didn't work that way for me...meaning that each new IPhone 15PM stands alone in this snafu.

I'm on my 2nd one, and about to order my 3rd through their Express Exchange service. Neither of the first two worked with BT function.

OMG, me too. And this have been one month. Whenever I entered my car, the bluetooth devices will disconnect and connect again back and forth. And then, I headed to the Genius Bar, the staff run the diagnosis in their system end, but showed everything works fine(which is not), and then all they can do is reintall the operating system for me. That's it, and the bug is still there.

December 4th: Updated to 17.1.2. "Un-sync'ed" iphone and car infotainment. Rebooted phone. Sync'ed again car and iphone 15PM. Tried a phone call. Still not working!. The phone disconnects from the car at a few seconds of started the call, the call keeps alive in the car screen, just not connected to the phone, etc. Iphone is useless as a PHONE to make calls in bluetooth in a car. Super unsafe!!!!. I cant have hands free calls in my car, is this 2005?. One more proof that Apple does not uses the devices it sells...

F*ing Apple, cant make a simple call in bluetooth?!.

This is really frustrating and shouldn’t take this long to fix! It has to be the operating system. As soon as I updated my iPhone 12 Pro Max to iOS 17 (months ago), it began having issues. I wanted to upgrade my phone anyway and as soon as I bought the 15 pro max, it was also having the same issue. FIX IT ALREADY!!

Same problem here. Infuriating.

iPhone 15 Pro Max, with 17.2 update.

Mainly occurs when I am in my shared office space, even if I am on or off wifi.

I have tried resetting all settings, resetting network settings, turning airplane mode on and off and more. Nothing seems to work.

Agreed. The official 17.2 release doesn't fix it. Literally unusable as a phone with Bluetooth and also wired into CarPlay which I suspect has something to do with Bluetooth connection to my Audi's MMI interface. Calling Apple again as soon as the public release happens so they can't give me any more BS about unreleased software being the issue. I'm so steaming mad about this! It just makes my blood boil. But hey, the phone is almost carbon neutral, am I right?! 🤣😂🤡🤡🤡
