Bluetooth issues on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3

I am having issues with bluetooth dropping the connection in my car and air pods pro since I upgraded my phone to iphone 15 PM and IOS 17.0.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is my main phone and I can't take the chance of having unstable IOS build on it. Any suggestions or better yet can apple just make something that works as it should for $1200 thanks!

I’m up to date on iOS 17.1.2 and still having Bluetooth issues. It’s nearly impossible to use Bluetooth in my car at this point.

I can tell you I was told to do the same thing by Apple support. Guess what??...it didn't work. Shocking, I know. Tried to make a call again in my car today because it actually connected. 1st attempt nothing happens. 2nd attempt nothing happens but this time it locked my Audi's MMI system up. I had to shut off the unit twice to completely disconnect so my stereo would work again. Of course, it dropped the phone connection too. Nothing fixes this issue. Resetting the network connections does not fix it. Deleting and re-adding Bluetooth connections does not fix it. Restoring the entire phone does not fix it. New replacement phones do not fix the problem.

Apple, can you please address the Bluetooth connection issues with iOS 17+. It appears to be an issue with everyone I know or have spoken to and it’s increasingly difficult to use the phone without this functionality. I was really hoping the latest update would address the issue, but it hasn’t made a difference from my experience thus far. Please help!

“This is an issue that appears to be related to beacon location systems and very concentrated to Aus/NZ

It’s under investigation by Apple’s field engineering team - not representative of a hardware failure. Replacement phones unfortunately see the same issue recurring. Genius Bar told me that the Chadstone and Chatswood stores specifically see a lot of it as it happens in their centres and it’s under engineering watch to work out exactly what is going on.”

Got this from a reddit forum. They won’t like me include the link.

Not sure why I’m getting for info from reddit than from an apple forum lol

I don’t have any issues with wi-fi connectivity but do you think it does impact Bluetooth since it uses wi-fi 6E? Bluetooth 5.2 appears the same as previous models…? So far, version 17.2 still has the same issues. But there must be a difference since this problem isn’t occurring on any other iPhone other than the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models.

I am also not having any issues with WiFi. We will have to wait for 17.2 or Apple to acknowledge and do a 17.1.01 release. I can say I currently do not see this being resolved before the end of the year.

I am going to call Apple support back and have my case escalated just so there is some traction on the issue. Kind of surprised MacRumors or another Apple-based news site hasn't picked this up. I do see people mentioning it on their forums but there are zero replies to the posts. 🤷🏻‍♂️

After switching from one new phone to another new phone and still having the same problem and letting them know that my friends have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and do not have this problem, we found out what the issue was. Apparently anyone that jumped to iPhone 15 from a model earlier than iPhone 14 had bugs in the actual iOS. What I needed to do was to install the phone as new and then download all the apps manually. It is a pain in the butt however, if you back up your photos to Google Photos and you, back up your messages, and WhatsApp, it all comes back together pretty easily, and it works.

I hate to put a hole in your example but I went from 14 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max and my Bluetooth is a mess. Might have worked for you, but I do not think that is the problem or solution. Apple has a serious problem that they are not addressing publicly. We can only hope they are working to resolve behind the scenes.

Sorry, my bad I forgot to mention. There were two options, either you skipped an iPhone model, or you had apps transfer from earlier on that caused bugs in the operating system and therefore it was necessary to install a new operating system that did not carry forward. They were right, it did work after everything else failed

Since these guys at the shop had me do a fresh install on the phone I ended up losing text messages of about 4 years and I’m super stuck. Anyone have a solution? It was backed up to iCloud but won’t sink most of the messages for some reasons, only a quarter of them came back and this is now 2 days later

When I transferred via iCloud from my 14 pro to the 15 pro max the same thing happened. It was fully backed up but lost old messages. I kept the last text messages from my sister who passed at a young age 7 years ago. She came along with me over 5 other iPhone upgrades but lost her with this junk 15 pro max. Nothing has been Norma with this phone. I've had more issues with this phone which makes it the worst purchase I ever made. It's just disgraceful.
