Bluetooth issues on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3

I am having issues with bluetooth dropping the connection in my car and air pods pro since I upgraded my phone to iphone 15 PM and IOS 17.0.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is my main phone and I can't take the chance of having unstable IOS build on it. Any suggestions or better yet can apple just make something that works as it should for $1200 thanks!

I’m up to date on iOS 17.1.2 and still having Bluetooth issues. It’s nearly impossible to use Bluetooth in my car at this point.

Of course I tried that! LOL Also reset network setting and everything else possible. iPhone 15 Pro Max is just a piece of garbage. On my way to the Verizon store to return it. I restored everything to my iPhone 13 Pro Max and everything is working perfectly again! I think I'll stick with the 13. It's in really good condition and has no bugs.

Maybe at some point Apple engineers with fix all the problems with the 15 Pro Max. But certain things like overheating, screen burn-in and Bluetooth issues may be beyond being able to be fixed by software updates. If they turn out to be hardware problems, then best to wait to see if Apple does any better with the 16.

How far Apple has fallen from delivering reliable, quality devices. Apple really has lost its way.

Hate to break this to you dude, but the problem is the hardware. Just today I returned my iPhone 15 Pro Max to Verizon and got a full refund. I’m so happy I did that! My 13 Pro Max is also running iOS 17.1.1, and the Bluetooth functionality in both cars works perfectly like it always did. So logically, it is a hardware issue or a combination of hardware and software but whatever it is it’s related to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. My iPhone 13 Pro Max works fine as it always did. Good luck!

Same issues here. Have contacted apple a few times and they are looking at it. Basically it seems like its related to when you are in an area with a lot of bluetooth beacons. My bluetooth becomes comepletely unavailable in the office or shopping centre. This also seems to largely impacting Australian users of iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Have tried a restart, full reset, removal of all bluetooth devices. One remote diagnostic detected that the device had a hardware fault. They sent me to the Genius bar. The 'Genius' there ran another diagnostic and said the device is completely fine. I've got a few days left to try and get a refund at JBHIFI but this is 100% an apple issue and they should honestly do a product recall.

Went to Apple Store last night and had my 15 pro max diagnosed. Of course, everything comes up passing. The tech I met with said she was unaware of any Bluetooth issues with these phones. I said here is a page that has 13 pages of complaints on apple's support forums. I then searched Bluetooth 15 pro max and even more came up. I said clearly Apple is aware of this problem but for whatever reason isn't acknowledging it. She said she submitted my case to Apple engineers. She feels it's a software issue that will eventually be resolved. I'm leaning towards a software issue as well but one never knows.

It started with me as well. As soon as I got the 15 pro max the Bluetooth didn't work. Ended up updating to a newer os and have kept that up to date but it still

doesn't work. I was in the car today and tried to make a call, long story short it locked my radio up and no call could be made. Bluetooth ended up completely disconnecting. This is a serious issue! WHY ARE THEY NOT ACKNOWLEDGING IT????

Good day everyone.

sad to say I’m also having same issues, every time I come close my work place - Hospitals, my Bluetooth connections dropping off “not available”. Booked my iPhone to check in Apple Store & hopefully to get good answers/solutions.

Following on from my post a couple of weeks ago. After speaking with Apple Support ( who agreed there was a problem but could not identify the cause ) they suggested I take the phone to my nearest agent of theirs which happened to be a EE shop.

EE had no specialist on site but sent the phone then to their repair workshop. I requested that whatever fix they applied they then tested the connection to blue tooth devices and most importantly to connect to hearing aids using the Accessibility option in settings.

They came back and said all was working fine, but they had "no hearing aids on site " with which to test that function.

Fat lot of help that was.

HOWEVER: The did 'flush' the software and upgrade it to IOS 17.1.1. Having got the phone home I set it up as new - i.e. did not restore anything from another phone nor from a backup.

Miraculously the phone connected to my hearing aids first go!!!!! So I then restored my other stuff from a backup and even more miraculously this did not upset the connection.

I use CAR PLAY in my car and that still works OK.

I have only made and received a few phone calls since the prone was returned and so far I have not experienced the call dropping nor do I hear any interference but it is early days yet.

The upshot is that it DOES SEEM to be a software issue and 17.1.1 fixes it.

Hope this helps the may sufferers out there.
