Bluetooth issues on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3

I am having issues with bluetooth dropping the connection in my car and air pods pro since I upgraded my phone to iphone 15 PM and IOS 17.0.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is my main phone and I can't take the chance of having unstable IOS build on it. Any suggestions or better yet can apple just make something that works as it should for $1200 thanks!

I’m up to date on iOS 17.1.2 and still having Bluetooth issues. It’s nearly impossible to use Bluetooth in my car at this point.

Hey peeps - I shared my experience on this thread over a month ago. I felt like I was going mad at the time. But around 3-4 weeks ago Apple Sydney gave me a replacement device and I haven’t experienced any Bluetooth drop outs / disconnects since. I was always told it was a software issue at the time too. If I were you, demand a replacement device. Just make sure you take screenshots to justify your issue. Hope this helps.

Apple repaired my iPhone 15 Pro as in replacing the entire logic board, with just the screen and back remaining. Unfortunately still have the same issue. Am on 17.1.1 and hasn’t been resolved sadly. Until they do, I’m swapping phones with my wife and using her iPhone 15 and she’ll use mine as the longer this continues, the possibility that my hearing or hearing aids may get damaged from this awful static that occurs when the sound does drop. No such issues on iPad Pro or any other device. Last I heard, Apple were aware and all hearing aid manufacturers including Oticon were also now working with them to try and resolve the issue due to having a lot of unhappy customers who have upgraded to iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max models…

I was like the 10th person to comment on this thread. I bought my iPhone 15 Pro 1TB one week after it came out. I'm still on 17.0.3 because I don't dare to update.

I've been receiving updates on this thread for almost two months now. I called Apple again yesterday for the second time. They said it helps if we keep calling in so that the engineers can upvote this problem so they'll address it.

So my recommendation for everyone here is to call Apple at least once a month and ask the (senior) engineer to upvote this problem so it will get fixed.

I have had to go back to 17.1.1 as the Apple engineers won’t do anything if on any other software version. Spoke to them yesterday and they are now running enhanced logging on my iPhone 15 Pro again. Still have dropped sound and static. Have sent screenshots and links to various websites and groups regarding this issue to them so hopefully now they’ll sort it out, especially as hearing aid manufacturers are also now working with them due to the complaints they have had from their own customers that have upgraded to iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models.

Sadly not. Has been restored, repaired and updated many times. Apple engineers are now involved and have undertaking further Bluetooth logging diagnostics on my phone today and they are very interested in what is happening so clearly they found something in the initial enhanced logs that was sent to them a few days ago. Let’s hope they are able to find a solution to the issues.

Apple support "claims" that Apple engineers are reviewing the logs from my phone as well to troubleshoot this issue. However, I will believe it when they get back to me with results of their resolution (or non-resolution). Actually I will be surprised if Apple even gets back to me. Their support has become horrible of late.

Hey! It happened to me too, on my iPhone 15 Pro. I would connect it to any car be it a 2012 BMW or a 2017 Toyota, it would play the songs perfectly fine, and I could listen to the conversation during the call, But the other guy wouldn't be able to hear me as the voice would always become distorted.

If you too are facing this exact issue then this may not be a problem with the Bluetooth but instead, this would happen when the Voice Isolation feature is enabled which has become even more enhanced in iOS 17. So all you have to do is that whenever you're in a call, swipe down from the top right to open the Control Centre, Tap Mic Mode and set it to Standard.

This fixed the problem I had whenever I would attend a call while the phone is connected to my car. And this fix is applicable for all iPhones running iOS 16 and above.

Thank You!
