how come applecar play doesn’t pause the radio while sending a Text and not repeating the text back to me

When asking Siri to send a text she usually repeats it and then asks if I want to send it…Siri is not repeating my text back to me but just going to “do I want to send”…I’ve tried it several times and if Siri does repeat the text it’s not on a consistent basis…this issue only started after downloading the iOS software 17.0.3

When I do request Siri to send a text the volume of the radio/sirius xm volume is not lowered

Is anyone else experiencing this same issue…I’ve changed the settings but nothing is consistent, what am I doing wrong?
