I had this option. Now, I'm long press at object and add sticker appear but wont pop up after that so it is not possible to create it. Anyone knows why?
I had the same problem but I did as the tech support suggested and now it’s fixed. My problem was that I was using iOS 15 and I needed to have a new updated iOS system i think iOS 16 or higher is required but now after upgrading in using iOS 18. I didn’t think the tech supports suggestion applied to me because I thought I had automatic updates but I checked any how and found that I hadn’t updated in quite a long time. Now I can make stickers and several other things that were a nuance are now fixed. Thank you Apple tech support.
I’ve been having the same issue, tried these techniques but still, every time I create a live sticker, it appears for a second in the sticker drawer, but then it disappears, and it says I have no stickers again.
I’m in the same boat with the others, except that can periodically create a sticker. I’ve tried different photo settings, different backgrounds, etc.
possible that maybe my screen protector is affecting the screen touch effects?
I've got the same on my 15 pro max aswell running the latest software .. it allows me to highlight the part of the image I want to create a sticker off and move it about the screen .. but I have no other options to choose from.
Just an update: I still struggle with only select images, while most create stickers. It’s starting to seem like there may be internal restrictions on types of images that it will create them.
Also, per what others are reporting, there are two different issues going on in this thread: First is the inability to get it to create the outline to even create a sticker, and secondly, some appear to not be able to save them to a drawer (I’ve not experienced this).
My stickers are not working properly either. I used to be able to make stickers out of the photos in my library and save them. But now all I get it “stickers your create from photos will appear here.” Well when I try to save one there, it just disappears. They won’t save.
These are good instructions for making stickers. However, the problem is that many of us are not able to consistently create stickers from our photos. I am wondering if it might be a copyright concern built-in to the app? I seem to have a problem though with my ownphotography and artwork.
We can all find the instructions for this. But that is not the problem. For many people in this chat the option “Add sticker” simply isn’t there when the central figure is highlighted - just save and share.
How can you tap an option which isn’t available?
I am sure all, like me, have made sure they have the latest version of iOS 17.
If anyone has instructions on how to get the missing option to appear they would be useful
Also started having this issue. Some images don’t even show up when you go to stickers and select the + option, they’re just not even there, despite showing as the feature pic of a selection/album etc. this is pathetic. I use stickers to edit photos for fun on my phone, this is completely useless now in this regard. I’m sure Apple are happy to let you spend $$$$$/m on an app they get a cut of.

Same issue with my iPhone 12- it looks like I’ve saved it, but it disappears about a second later.
The entire problem is that when I long press, it highlights the subject, but only “copy” and “share” appear, no “add sticker”
I have stickers, but when I try to add a sticker to a photo the screen seems to darken just a bit and will not go to stickers to pull one up.
