So i got it to work after having the same issue, what I had to do was go to Settings<Cellular<Network Selection, I turned off automatic and choose the network. In my case it was two that said T-Mobile, I clicked the first one, tried facetime, issue persisted, then I clicked the second one that said T-Mobile and tried facetime, it worked. If I had to guess its a bug with Apples automatic network selection when trying to make a facetime.
?? What did you do that fixed it?
My would be fix actually wasn’t a fix. Still cant ft other phones unless on wifi. My fix I thought I found was a dupe
The only thing that works is switching to WhatsApp video chats. Maybe I’ll just get a cheaper Android. Who needs Apple anyway …
This fixed mine also
Hey thanks @midge243, Working so far!!
I thought they may have actually fixed it. This worked for me temporarily, which never worked in the past, but FT calls started failing again today.
I originally thought it was isolated to
people on T-Mobile. Now I know people unable to make FaceTime calls on cellular who are on Verizon and ATT. So it’s obviously an iOS 17 issue. Apple continues to tell me it’s a T-Mobile issue. Apple is literally forcing me to use Facebook messenger to make video calls. Pathetic I spend $1800 on an iPhone 15 pro max and to make video calls on cellular I can’t even use FaceTime. Apple needs to fix this **** issue. I actually have three support tickets open with Apple, but no fix yet.
