That is correct. You can't update an iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 16 (or higher).

If you have an iPhone 7, you may want iOS 16, but you CANNOT have iOS 16. There are 12 pages of this thread with answer after answer explaining why. You need a newer iPhone if you need a higher level iOS version.

If you are running iOS 15 (currently 15.8.1), you are running the latest available version.
iPhone 7 Plus is not supported on iOS 16 and later.
If you have an app that requires iOS q6 or later, you will need a newer (used, refurb) or new iPhone.
Any recent iPhone will be substantially more capable than an iPhone 7 Plus, as well.

Correct. You can't update an iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 16. That has been made clear repeatedly on this page, and on the previous 12 pages of this thread.

How many times does it need to be said in one thread that it is NOT possible to update an iPhone 7 to iOS 16 before people will stop asking the same question over and over. Read the thread. You CANNOT EVER update your iPhone 7 to iOS 16 or higher. EVER.

Someone said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result.
By that definition, people posting 15 pages of the same pointless request (to update an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus to an iOS version that it will never be able to run) is insane!

Well, that would likely help, but if we've learned anything in ALL of these threads asking the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over, reading is not high on their priority list.

Does anyone take the time to read past the first post? There are 19 pages in this thread and on every single page is NO, iPhone 7 cannot be updated to iOS 16. Please read a thread before you post to it. You wasted your time. The answer is NO. It will always be NO.

You can do so by using the Maps app on your iPhone 7 Plus to locate the nearest Apple Store or an authorized reseller. They can set you up with iOS 17, which is 1 better than iOS 16.
Bring some money with you.

You realize you are speaking with someone who wants to put iOS 16 on their iPhone 7, right? If they can't run iOS 16 on an iPhone 7, how would you even presume they can get iOS 17, no matter how much money they bring, unless you were suggesting they buy a new iPhone?
