Macbook Pro 13 inch early 2015 build running Monteray 12.7 no longer will connect with Apple bluetooth mouse. Mouse is charged fully.
As previous was mentioned " Mouse is charged fully. " would mean this is probably the Magic Mouse 2 which I too have.
There are occasions where Forgetting the Mouse is required
I say this from personal experience when upGrading from macOS 13 Ventura to macOS 14 Sonoma
Both the Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Keyboard 2 just failed to connect via Bluetooth connection in Sonoma
Forget both devices while using at trusty USB Keyboard during this experience
Switched on the Mouse, pulled to the Apple Cable and plugged it into USB Port. Switched on Mouse and re-paired the MM 2 as new. Some for KB
It has been since Sept 26 when Sonoma was installed to Oct 9 and both " just works "
Was this Apple Mouse paired to and used another Apple Device ?
If yes, you will Have to Un-Pair the Mouse ( Forget ) the Mouse on the Other Device before attempting to Setup the Mouse on this device
How are you opening the BT settings to reconnect?
If you haven't opened settings, you'll need to use a wired USB mouse to open the BT settings and reconnect manually the Magic Mouse.
Welcome and yes it is possible the Mouse has died.
Had the first Magic Mouse with Replaceable 2 x AA Batteries from 2012.
It just died this year 2023, 11 year later
They do not make them like they used to, sadly

There are times when a near by device like an iPhone is interfering with the Bluetooth Connect for the Mouse as iPhone Bluetooth is running in the 2.4 gHz signal range
I access System Preferences - that is what it is named in Monterey - then Bluetooth, the mouse is not there nor is there any way to add a new device.
Also under System Preferences I click on the Mouse icon then on the Set Up Mouse function. The app searches for a bluetooth mouse. I cycle the power on my Apple Bluetooth mouse but the only response is No Mouse Found.
I've also tried the Bluetooth icon at the top left of the Home Page but that doesn't work either.
Thank you for the reply but that does not help me.
M. Philips thank you for the taking the time to reply to my request for help.
I only have the bluetooth mouse paired with the Macbook Pro. In fact I was using it and it suddenly stopped working.
Sincerely:
Richard
Again, I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my request for help. I know you don't have to so thank you.
I shut down my iPhone and placed it in a different area of the house. Then went into to System Preferences to set up a Bluetooth mouse, and cycled the power on the Apple mouse a couple of times. Still no connection.
I think my Apple mouse is broken. Which is too bad because I didn't buy it that long ago and really expected more from an Apple product.
