After you've verified that your hearing aids are compatible, follow these instructions

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click Accessibility  in the sidebar, then click Hearing Devices on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
  2. If prompted, turn on Bluetooth.
  3. Power your hearing devices off and back on again.
  4. If you’re not sure how to power off your hearing devices, refer to the instructions that came with them or check with the audiologist who helped you set them up.
  5. When your hearing devices appear in the list of available devices, move the pointer over them, then click Connect.
  6. Pairing can take as long as 60 seconds — don’t try to stream audio or otherwise use the hearing devices until pairing is finished. When pairing is finished, you hear a series of beeps and a tone.
