Most hearing Aids are not ready to be paired directly with your Mac.
Their interface is generally more complex that a simple headphones connection, and on the iPhone that complexity is handled by the hearing aid maker's App.
That said, most TV sets are not willing to pair with your hearing aids either. I have a smart TV, but is simply refused, the only device it would talk to was its 'smart' remote control.
A solution in EACH case may be a TV Streamer, such as the Resound Unite TV streamer 2.

Some hearing aids can only be paired in the first minute or so after they have been turned on. With Phonak you place them in their charging case, then remove them and try pairing them immediately.

Contact the hearing aid manufacturer and ask them for instructions/drivers/etc. for connecting your hearing aids to your Mac.
It really depends upon the manufacturer. They should have instructions on how to do this. Some hearing aids such as ReSound may be better with MadeForIPhone technology. Phonak's will connect but the interface can be erratic and uses regular Bluetooth.
You really should refer to your user manual, and if necessary contact your audiologist or the hearing aid manufacturer support system.
