My MFI hearing aids are detected by my Macbook Pro but will not pair

I just purchased my first set of hearing aids - Jabra Enhance EP-250S-C. They paired fine with my iPhone 11, but they will not pair with my Macbook Pro. Apple M1 Pro running MacOS Sonoma 14.2.

I turn of my hearing aids, then turn them back on. The Powerbook detects them, but the connect button is greyed out. After a few seconds, they disappear.

I understand this may not work with my Macbook Pro because it's an M1 chip. Is there an accessory that I can buy that will alllow them to work? I'd really like to have this functionaliity.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.2

Problem solved. You cannot have your hearing aids connected to both your iPhone and your Mac at the same time. I turned off Bluetooth on my phone and was immediately able to pair my hearing aids with my Mac. And since I can accept phone calls on my Mac, I can still use the phone at home while on the computer. Unfortunately, I *think* this means I will have to re-pair with the phone every time I leave the house, but we'll see.

This also means I will lose the capabilities of the phone app to control the volume of my hearing aids, which is disappointing. ISTM you ought to be able to pair with both devices. but that is not the case.
