Pairing hearing aids and Mac Book Air

I am trying to pair my new Advance bluetooth enabled hearing aids with my Apple Mac Book Air bought timer 2021 but no luck at all? Any suggestions would be welcome.

I've done all of the steps - my hearing aids just will not pair with my MacBook Air M2 - these same hearing aids pair effortlessly with my iPhone or iPad, but nothing happens whatsoever with the macbook!! I've already contacted Apple Care and they didn't know what to do - even the hearing aid manufacturer was the same - they should just work!

And before anyone says other wise - for the purpose of preventing an interference, I unpaired my hearing aids from my phone, switched off the phone bluetooth to ensure that it would only be my aids and the macbook in close vicinity and operating bluetooth.

At what point will Apple agree that perhaps it's an issue with the bluetooth on my mac and decide to do a proper investigation into the issue?

For the initial pairing of the HAs to the MacBook, please ensure that you have Bluetooth turned off on your iPhone/iPad. If they are still connected with these devices for the initial pairing, they will not connect. Once connected to the MacBook, you can turn the Bluetooth back on. I hope this helps!

What have you been doing thus far? Presumably, you should be able to do the following:

Open the Settings app > Bluetooth. Then, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the Mac and your hearing aid is in pairing mode, the device should appear under 'nearby devices' and you could be able to click 'connect' and the device should connect.

It is Jan 17, 2024...I too have had pairing my phonak Nadia P90 hearing aides. They do pair to the Mac Air I have, but disconnect very quickly. I have tried all fixes and have not talked to apple or phonak yet. On one occasion, and I do not know why, they connected for a longer period but shortly went back to disconnect. I will try again to shut off blue tooth on computer (mac air) and restart. Not sure it will work but I will give it a shot. Anyone out there in hearing aide land or Mac book air land who can help, let me and others know. Thanks
