I have upgraded my phone to an iPhone 15 Pro max. Now my Apple Watch no longer has a passcode on it. I have even deleted the watch from the phone and re set it up. On the phone using the Apple Watch app when I am in the settings for passcode are blanked out.
On iPhone, settings, Screen Time, turn off Content & Privacy Restrictions.
