Not Enough Disk Space in imovie

I am using Mac Catalina 10.15.7 and when using the iMovie software, when I define a project and want to import a movie, the message "Not Enough Disk Space" appears while my hard disk has more than 100 GB of free space. has what do I do ? My system is MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) and I cannot upgrade to version 13.4.

Sometimes a simple restart of the Mac will cure issues like this. Try shutting down the Mac and starting up in Safe Mode. After everything loads, shut down again and start up in normal mode.

To cover the bases, make sure that the video that you are importing does not exceed the 100 GB of your hard drive.
