trying to recieve and make calls facetime on ipad

when i try to call facetime on i pad it says not configured on ipad when i try to turn on allow calls on other devices it says face time and and i cloud must be on same apple id


i checked they look like they are


i am able to forward text and messages to ipad but not call in or out or facetime thanks

Hi 5katts,


If you are getting a message about your Apple ID not being the same on your iPad, be sure to check your Apple ID in these places in the Settings app:


  • Settings [Your Name], check the Apple ID at the top.
  • Settings > Messages > Send & Receive
  • Settings > FaceTime > You Can Be reached By FaceTime At.


If you have an iPhone forwarding messages to your iPad, be sure to check the same setting on your iPhone for the Apple ID as well to see if they all match.
