Clock source issues in logic

Hi,

I was trying to record a small band today using a Macbook Pro 13" 2015 (i7, 16GB RAM) with Logic 12.7.9 and Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd gen. After a minute or so I got this message on the screen:

I've checked that the project in Logic run at the same sample rate as the soundcard. The inputs work fine and and there's no problem recording. In Focusrite Control everything looks okej too. What could it be that trigger the system to alert? The recording continues until I stop even after the message apperas. But the result is a recording the cracks and pops, even making short "time jumps" thats renders it useless even though the sound quality itself is good.

Very puzzled over this issue, haven't had it before.

Thanks for any help!

Best,

Matt

Besides mismatched sampling rate settings between your sound card and logic, this issue is mostly related to cpu overload. Increase the I/O Buffer size to 1024 here:

Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio > Devices > I/O Buffer size.

Turn off all plugins while recording.

And turn off all other applications that are not necessary for recording.
