kindle Classic for Mac Freezes

After updating to Kindle Classic on my MacBook I am experiencing daily issues with the app freezing. OS is updated and the App is up to date. Coldstarting the computer provides temporary relief, but app then does not remember book being read or where I am in the book.

kindle app crashes every time opened on os x11.1 (Catalina) Does anyone know of a fix? I downloaded the kindle app again and installed it. No help. Interestingly every time I open a book in the app and I reopen after the inevitable crash there is a new blank book with nothing in it and nothing on the cover. I am at the point where I am not going to even try to use the app any more on my mac.

New iMac - Kindle App - 'blue book problem' Hi all. I have a new model iMac running Big Sur 11.6.1. I've had it 6 months and only just tried opening the Kindle app for Mac. It registers how many books I have correctly, but half of them are unreadable. Instead of seeing the book cover and being able to open it to read, each file just has a blank blue cover, and when I click on it the file is empty (it shows itself as being at the start position for the file) I've checked with the Kindle cloud reader in my browser and all my books show up fine, so this seems to be a specific issue with the app. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app. No difference. Anyone have any ideas? (I've tried posting this on Amazon too) thanks

Apple Books freezes up repeatedly I have purchased Mac OS Catalina by David Pogue from the Apple Bookstore. I've been reading along, highlighting here and there, and suddenly, last night, it wouldn't let me do anything: highlighting, turning the page, etc. Tonight I picked it up to try again and it let me turn the page once before freezing up again. I have tried quitting and relaunching the app, rebooting the iPad, making sure I am updated to the latest version -- 13.5.1 (17F80), etc. Advice appreciated.
