"Not Delivered" SMS messages when sent from Messages on new MacBook Pro since software update

Recently updated my software on my iPhone and MacBook Pro to the latest versions (ie: iOS is now 17) and suddenly the messages app on my MacBook Pro cannot send SMS messages.

I have double checked my message forwarding settings on iPhone, and have looked to see if there is anything obviously wrong on the MacBook Pro's settings, but can't seem to get it to work.

Is this software related due to recent software updates?
