Printtool issue

We've got 13 Macs in total with these all being on Monterey 12.1 or 12.6.8, these devices are all from late 2015 or 2017. Devices also have 2 accounts: Student and Admin. On attempt to print from the Student user we're constantly prompted to enter the administrator credentials due to the printer proxy or printer trying to modify the printer settings. We attempted some fixes which included removing the printer from connecting through Bonjour and adding the printer via the IP address and reinstalling the printer drivers. We've also attempted to go into the directory editor and adding the Student user account to the Print Administrator group. After these fixes 8 devices are still affected and prompted for credentials. The only fix we can think of would be to just make the Student user account an admin, however this would be a final workaround and could lead to some problems in the future, is there any other fixes we can try before we go about doing this?
