charging problem

I bought my SE (3rd generation) about three weeks ago. Now the charging cable does not go inside the phone. As far as I can see there is no dirt inside.

iPhone 13 Pro not charging when connected to cable Since purchasing an iPhone 13 Pro new back in December 2021, I rarely used a cable to charge my iPhone 13 except when driving. I mostly wireless charge the phone. Until recently, I primarily used the cable to backup monthly my phone to the computer. Now connecting with a cable, I can't charge or back up the phone. Wireless charging still works and now I backup my iPhone over WiFi and the phone functions flawlessly otherwise. I've tried different cables and charging blocks with no success. There's no damage to the phone and it's never been near water. I've read online where sometimes the charging/mother board inside the iPhone can become defective. If I take the phone to a Genius Bar inside an Apple Store I'm assuming they can isolate the issue. If it is a board is that something the Genius Bar would normally have in stock and how long would it take to repair/replace? Has anybody gone this route? TIA

Hello maijuR,

You could test another charging cable with the iPhone SE. If the same issue happens and it feels like something may be blocking the charger from making a connection, then you'd want to seek service.
