Why is my MacBook part number wired?

I bought MacBook Pro 16 inches (2021 model) last week. I’ve not unboxed it yet. I checked the coverage on the website and it’s correct but I feel a bit doubt when I saw the part number on the back side of box. It’s totally different from other MacBook. Should it be like MLH12xx/A? However my MacBook part number is Z14W000NY. Is it genuine or something wrong?

Oh, it is actually WORSE than that.

Model Numbers and Part numbers and Stock numbers are NOT the same.

You are reading Part number off the box, and expecting to see stock numbers, like MLH12xx/A, which we encounter here ONLY during the sales process, and almost never again.

The model number A2485 will be printed on the bottom of the case, and identifies a series of Macs with a very similar form factor. It specifies 16-in display, M1 10 core CPU either Pro with 16 Core GPU or Max with 24 core CPU.

¿Did you buy from a seller you can still reach, and is reputable? If so, open the box and enjoy your computer!

if you encounter a real problem that impacts performance, reach out to that reputable vendor. That's why we deal with vendors with something to lose if they mess up too badly.

if you are dealing with a Newspaper Ad Seller who can go silent and disappear after purchase, Buyer Beware!.
