Browsers can’t connect

Both chrome and safari can’t connect says err proxy connection failed. I did have the yahoo.ca search issue but was finally able to get rid of it but I think maybe I did something and now I can’t connect to internet

Safari working but Chrome, Firefox and Opera and other apps can't access internet after router moved I disconnected my Virgin Hub 5 while decorating, plugged it all back in and Safari works as before on my iMac and I have high speed access via both WiFi and ethernet. However other all browsers - Chrome, Firefox and Opera return ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED and I can't find what the problem is. Other Apps that should connect to internet also not working. I have restarted my iMac and restarted the Router. Other ethernet connections (Apple TV and Sky Stream box connected by ethernet from the router are working fine. WiFi to my Iphone and iPad is fine as well. What settings on my Mac do I need to check/change. Thanks

Also unable to connect to apple software update.im timing all of this on my iPhone
