when I delete my emails on Gmail, they are not deleted from my Mail on Iphone app.

I cleaned up my mails on GMAIL, and deleted over 7500 emails. These are still in my mail app of apple Iphone.

I removed the account from my phone. Turned the phone off. Then rebooted the phone, and re-added the email account, and the 7500 emails are still there!

I do not have the time to clean them up on the phone. Can you tell me how to do this? I have checked, the syncro is done using google so I am not sure if it uses POP or IMAP, as when I choose to install the account it asks Google on the phone. I have also checked that deleted mail is corresponding to BIN in the advanced parameters.

What do I need to do ?

We understand how this can seem to be an Mail app issue, so we'll be happy to explain our recommendation to reach out to Gmail Support.

The steps you performed trying to get Gmail to update syncing to your iPhone were great troubleshooting steps. Since you have updated your Gmail account and it's not syncing to your iPhone that goes back to the Google servers, they control what syncs and updates across the different devices we use. So Google, or Gmail Support needs to assist with why the account is not syncing to your iPhone.

I have already said, there are 7500 emails. I have already deleted from my gmail account.

Your proposal, I have already tried it and I cannot bulk the deletion on the phone as I need to select certain mails. I SAID it is not working, THIS is not possible to select and do on the phone, too long, so I want to do it another way. The problem is not with Gmail, as on the Gmail account the mails have been deleted. It is on the iphone.

OK, but when I remove one recent email that synchronises correctly and deletes on both phone and ipad. But the old ones do not. I will see what gmail says although their support is less efficient so not sure when i wil get a reply
