how is my laptop that I just got wiped clean from apple, have applecareplus on it already when I just created my new Apple ID.

also went to the phone store and got a new iPhone , which I have no signed in on yet. how does my Apple ID have a phone number associated with it already when I have not entered it

Have you never entered a phone number with your Apple ID?
