13 Pro flashlight randomly turns on
My iPhone 13 Pro flashlight randomly turns on while I'm holding the phone.
A year ago I set Accessibility/BackTap to turn on flashlight but a few months later I reset that option to None because no matter how I finessed the taps, I could not get decent performance to turn on/off the flashlight with BackTap. Many times nothing happened even with 4 or 5 attempts so I’d give up & go to Control Center to turn it on/off.
Since resetting BackTap, the flashlight now suddenly turns on for no reason. Happens few to several times a week when:
* I set 13 Pro down on a table face first (I have it in a protective case)
* I hold the phone with thumb on left edge below volume buttons and fingers on the right edge below the power button.
* an app is open & also on Home Screen unlocked
This is random, but frequent enough it’s annoying to be forced into turning off a light I didn’t ask for.
Read another post on this here with same prior use of Acsessability/BackTap set up for light & then later reset to None just like my situation but no real answers there.
I wonder if IOS has a glitch that’s holding onto the BackTap setting after it’s been used & then discontinued. Or maybe the sensors stubbornly retain that command on their own?
Anyone here from Apple that can explain what is happening & how to fix this annoyance?
