How do you read a message when trying to respond to it. We use to be able to hit the arrow by the text screen and it would minimize the screen your texting in so you could read the text you’re responding to.

Previous arrow at the side of the text box is gone. How do I read the above message in my response text.

I have no memory of the feature you're mentioning but you are not the first person in recent days to complain about its absence.

If you're typing a long response, put your finger on the response and pull down. The keyboard will disappear. The response will cover about the bottom third of the screen. If you put your finger on the messages above, you can move them up and down. When you're done, tap in the response again and the keyboard will reappear. Does that do what you want?

Hi Geezzapple,

Are you using the Messages app? If so, and you started typing a reply, you can read the message you are responding to by scrolling up or down on the message. This is the case when replying to a specific message as well.

For more information on messaging, see:

If this does not cover what you are experiencing, please provide additional details.

Take care.

When the message gets to a certain point you cannot see the message above that you are replying to. My daughter is having the same problem. When the response is short it’s not a problem but when it’s long it cuts off the message about you are responding to.

I explained above how to read the message you're responding to in that situation.
