Pairing VerioFlex OneTouch with a new phone

This should be a reply to Has anyone had issues when trying to pair… - Apple Community but Apple hasn’t learned that lesson from Stack Overflow and won’t let me post there. The question I wanted to know when I read the answers there advocating removing and installing the app was “will I lose all my results from my old phone?”. The answer is “no”. It works just as you’d hope. Well, except that you have to reinstall the whole app just to redo the Bluetooth pairing.
