Apple Watch in battery widget Macbook Pro

In the handy battery widget for Mac (OS 14.0), I find all the battery levels of the connected bluetooth devices (headphones, mouse, keyboard). Only device I can't get connected is my Apple Watch (watchOS 10.0.1). In iCloud I get the battery level.

How can I solve this? All devices already rebooted, widget already removed and put back.

Apple Watch SE, watchOS 10

My understanding is that the Watch is an extension of the phone and NOT a MacBook. You should see the watch in the batteries widget then on the phone, not your mac. This can also be verified in the Bluetooth settings on the watch. It very clearly states that turning off Bluetooth will disconnect on the phone - says nothing about the Mac. Hope this helps.

Seeing battery level of your Apple device on another Apple device is anything but "unrealistic expectations". And you already can - via "Find my". Why not make it more convenient

Apple does not read this user-to-user technical support forum for feedback.

But you can send Apple feedback via:

Feedback - Watch - Apple

If enough users send feedback, it is more likely a decision maker will see it, and maybe take action.

Hey there pieterjan82,

We'd like to help by first learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some basics:

  1. You mentioned all of your other Bluetooth accessories paired with your Mac are showing the battery indicator, but not for your Apple Watch. Did the battery indicator show sometime in the past on your Mac alongside the ones that do show?
  2. You mentioned this occurs with the battery widget on your Mac, but which devices are listed if you go to the Bluetooth devices list at the top right of the menu bar?
  3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section ‘Restart your Mac' here: Shut down or restart your Mac Also check out: Restart Apple Watch

Cheers!

I wanted to hear the responses because I have the same issue. I'm not sure if I should be able to see my apple watch battery status in the battery widget on MacOS 14.0, but I would really like to if it's possible. My responses to those questions are:

  1. My apple watch battery has never showed up in the battery widget.
  2. My apple watch has never been listed as a bluetooth device on my mac. The only items are my airpods and my sonos speaker.
  3. Has been restarted many times

Thank you. My comment was not addressed to Apple. This community forum is for discussions and normally you shouldn't expect people to leave feedback for Apple here.
