In the handy battery widget for Mac (OS 14.0), I find all the battery levels of the connected bluetooth devices (headphones, mouse, keyboard). Only device I can't get connected is my Apple Watch (watchOS 10.0.1). In iCloud I get the battery level.
How can I solve this? All devices already rebooted, widget already removed and put back.

My understanding is that the Watch is an extension of the phone and NOT a MacBook. You should see the watch in the batteries widget then on the phone, not your mac. This can also be verified in the Bluetooth settings on the watch. It very clearly states that turning off Bluetooth will disconnect on the phone - says nothing about the Mac. Hope this helps.

That's a pity, because I have a habit of forgetting that my Watch is on the charger. With a battery widget on my Macs desktop displaying the percentage charge I can see when it finished charging. Or is there a way the Watch can give a sound when it's ready?
This would be an understandable response if the Apple watch didn't unlock my MacBook when I was nearby. The MacBook can tell it's close by. Why not just show the battery level, too?
The user doesn't care about what it "is an extension of." The expectation is that the battery widget, which shares a common design language on iOS and macOS, should also have the same functionality on both platforms.
Ah, then it's just your unrealistic expectations at play here. That explains it! Design language has literally nothing to do with shared functionality. It's Apple, of course it shares a design language. The fact remains Apple designed the Watch to be a logical extension of the iPhone as a product. Full stop.
Seeing battery level of your Apple device on another Apple device is anything but "unrealistic expectations". And you already can - via "Find my". Why not make it more convenient

Just searched for this and came up with this thread. Apple should fix this. I would love to see my watch battery with my AirPods battery my Mac battery, etc on the new desktop widget. Shouldn’t be that hard to do it all.. get to it I’m in the bathroom programmers.
What you say is true but you failed to mention that my I watch unlocks my MacBook Pro. So explain that one to me why we can’t see battery status. Bottom line is the programmers need to fix it. It’s not brain surgery.
