iPhone 12 Frozen. Unable to switch off or anything

Screen stuck and none of the buttons work so unable to turn off. The same thing happened once before, in April, but I cannot remember the exact series of events needed to re-sign into account.

I understand this was a “security” issue.

I have been waiting, for about two days now, for the battery to die so that I can then attempt to re-connect.

I realise now that I need assistance from Apple to recover my account.

iPhone 12, iOS 16

Good morning!

I would first suggest to force restart the phone:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Directly after, press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

To follow up, what do you mean by "re-sign in to account", and "security issue"?

Best of luck,

Bryce
