I tunes library

I cannot access my iTunes library because my pc crashed and I forgot password. I purchased an iPad and got a new password but cannot access library associated with my email address. Some of my music was downloaded and some was purchased.

To expand on this a little further, music that you add to an iTunes library on a computer doesn't become associated with your Apple ID unless you also subscribe to either iTunes Match or Apple Music. You may be able to take the hard drive from your (presumably) unbootable computer, stick it in an external drive bay, and extract your files from it onto another computer.

Hi Mydogzoey,

To get music on your iPad that you purchased, make sure you are logged into the same Apple ID and follow Redownload music.

For music that did not come from iTunes, for instance from CDs or third-party downloads, you will need to use the computer that these tracks are on and sync it by following Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer. There is no other way to access this music without connecting to the computer that has the original files.

Take care.
