How do I stop the iphone 13 camera from coming on when I make or receive a phone call?

Hello chuckbtc,


You mention your camera is opening when you have an incoming call on your iPhone. First, we want to make sure these are audio calls and not incoming FaceTime calls: Use FaceTime with your iPhone or iPad


If they are FaceTime calls, it is expected for your front-facing camera to open for the video call. If these are regular audio-only calls, let's go through a few steps that could help.


First, force close your Camera app then restart your iPhone.


Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch


Restart your iPhone
