Black box on top of iPhone 15 screen

Unless you’re getting a high end android, you’ll be faced with the same thing, just smaller and with no software features. The notch was visible in all the places the Dynamic Island is. All it does is makes it more useful.

Plus, unless you’re watching ultrawide videos (often movies or music videos), the Dynamic Island won’t be visible.

I encourage you and anybody else who has a Dynamic Island to look into the software features this adds below:

Read the thread before posting. There is no "solution". You don't get rid of it...It is part of the design.

The black box is called the Dynamic Island, and unfortunately, you cannot make it disappear or get rid of it.

This is called Dynamic Island, you can’t disable it.

Please let me know if you find out! It's so ugly, and there's no hardware there anymore so why is there a box there? Just to take up space that could be taken by, oh gee, a NUMBER of different things-- like a clock that has seconds, or ACTUALLY SEEING THE PERCENTAGE NUMBER OF YOUR PHONE CHARGE? MAYBE? APPLE?????

My option there is a hard wear there!!! I looked yesterday and saw the Meta symbol in it inside the blk box!!!

I had been on the phone with a long time friend from school @ 2 hrs as our 50th reunion is coming up! The whole time I was talking to her till @ 11:35 PM it was visible. As soon as we disconnected… within a few seconds… it blinked it went off!!!!

im regretting getting this iPhone 15. This is the last straw. I see it even when I’m watching you tube. Been buying iPhones for 20 years. I’m getting an android.

when I press silent option on side of phone unable to see what option it is in on or off
