CarPlay in rental car

I recently hired a car for a trip while my own car was in the shop for maintenance.

When connecting my iPhone to the car’s media system via bluetooth, there was a message on screen about copying my contacts. I think I may have allowed that, and now feel like I should have prevented that.

Would any such data be accessible to future users of that car or to the rental company?

No. The data is not accessible directly by anyone and should be deleted once a different device is connected to the car's media system.

Its at best a temporary download.
