After iOS 17 iPhone 11 is not charging

I’ve got the same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro. Can’t charge with cable, only with MagSafe. Apple admits it’s a software problem, but have been hopeless in providing a solution. I feel defrauded.

mine was fine on iOS 17 base update, then on the first update after it, battery started going down by 20% just like my granny's 6S does with 71% battery health, but then settled a few days later, then the next update, started this charging joke, i thought at first battery optimization was the cause so i turned that off, worked fine for 1 night then back to ground zero! Moreover, the percentage shown is *NOT* the actual percentage as after restarting it, each time it shows something else! I thought iOS would have done better than Android on that(this bug is like morning coffee for Android) but nope, they're equally as bad nowadays!

I tried multiple resets and erasing at least 4-5 times but unfortunately for me personally none of that worked when I had that issue with my 12 pro max , except what I said in the reply previously. A very strange bug that apple needs to fix for others

it's ridiculously and infuriating apple has done nothing about this issue. multiple reports of it, and still they did nothing to resolve this. I hate this brand honestly, all they want is for people to buy recent iphones while the older ones are left to rot

I updated my phone today Nov 25, 2023 with full 100% charge. Now that it is updated to IOS 17.1.1, my iPhone is refusing to charge. I've been using this iPhone 11 Pro Max since Sept 2021. I never drained the battery and always made sure I keep its charge no lower than 40%. I always charge up to 99-100% before I unplug it. . My phone's battery was working perfectly fine before the update. I changed the cord to a new original Apple branded cord, nothing's changed. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Should I throw my iPhone away??????? Apple needs to fix this issue ASAP because I am not buying a new iPhone if this one becomes useless because of an update.

I have an IPhone 13. Working perfectly until I updated with IOS 17.1.1. Now won’t charge despite using new cables. Messed up all my online banking. I have a health monitor on my app, which links to the hospital. Apple please sort this out asap. If there is a way to remove this and go back to previous IOS I would be very grateful

I am no longer allowed to click helpful tabs on others posts, it seems they know and just aren't trying to help, someone should contact a news outlet it's happening to everyone yet they refuse to acknowledge and fix the software issue 🙄

Same here - I’ve been reporting this issue from last month and iOS 17.1.2 came and no fix…My kids iPhone XS Max still not charging properly and the apps are closing on their own.

As a iOS 17.1.2 user i confirm, Yes it does persist, and seem like it gets worst because my iPhone that always goes 100% doesn’t charge pass 75 -85 % battery life…thats

(after hard-resetting and plugging the charger in and out for hours to make the phone start charging) /:frustration

Is never apples’ fault. 300 million people are having the same issue and Apple saying is the cable etc. All the cabes decided to stop charging the phone at the same moment. Afff , 🙄. Like the third apps …doesn’t focus the camera in the new iPhone 15 pro … nobody knows what is …

My phone has been having trouble charging ever since the most recent software update. I’ve tried cleaning the port, and using every charger I can find. The problem is not resolving. Currently the only charger that works is my one old apple charger, but I don’t have the money to replace them all for apple products.

IPhone SE 3rd gen, doing same thing. Will not charge over night. Walk up to minimal percentage on battery after being plugged ion overnight. Have tried multiple chargers, blocks/cords, different outlets even different houses. No luck. This is very annoying and can’t believe that this all to do with an update. Not very impressed, considering changing to android at this point.

Any fixes to this issue? iPhone 11 max won’t charge my battery for more than 46% (5h of charging with same oem charger) it used to charge to 90% in 30 min. 17 update is the issue and I tried to turn off the optimization and the clean charging to no avail!

is this one of Apple plots to get a new iPhone?!!!!!

After iOS 17.1.2 update, iPhone SX Max randomly stops charging even though lightening bolt icon stays present. The number slowly descends while using social media or whatever. I had the battery replaced at a Genius Bar which only destroyed my speakers. After a cleaning, the lower speaker worked but the speaker that goes next to the ear no longer works. Now all my calls are on speaker phone.

Also have the same issue with xs max here, support told me that my battery health is 78% so it might be a hardware fault, but the restart workaround works and phone charges fine, so probably not a hardware issue as most of you say.
