Locked id, stolen phone, other device is offline

My phone was stolen and my Apple ID is locked. I can have the app send a message with how to change my password to an old phone that is currently logged into Apple ID but offline. If I connect this old phone to the wifi, will it also lock? Or will it stay connected to my Apple ID and let me change the password. Scared to log on and have that be locked to.

I guess it depends on if the thief had it sign me out of all devices when/if they changed the passcode. Either way...?

You can also reset your Apple ID password on your computer:

Reset your password at iforgot.apple.com

When possible, the web process redirects you to a trusted device.

If you don't have a trusted device, you can still reset your password on the web — but the process might take a little longer. If you'll have access to one of your trusted devices soon, it might be faster and easier to reset your password then.
