Automount Synology NAS when it powers on

I have a Synology NAS and it has a power schedule. Unfortunately when the NAS reboots my Mac Mini M1 fails to auto mount it requiring me mount the volume. Is there anything that can be done so the Mac Mini M1 continually pings the server and keeps it mounted? I need it to stay mounted at all times is because I am running my plex server on the mini. Thanks. I am running Sonoma.

A couple of options:

  1. Manually mount the share to your desktop and then drag drop that onto your Login items preference pane. Subsequent reboots will mount the share on login.
  2. Use Automount (the current implementation of Automount on macOS may not be the same as older articles)
    1. Automount SMB share when NAS becomes available
    2. Using the macOS Automounter (2011 article updated in 2020)
