My A1314 keyboard was working perfectly but suddenly these keys are not working. I changed batteries to fresh ones. switched it off and on.
I dont see much dust or debris.
Also, seeing such random keys not working, I am thinking it could be something to do with underlying key component or circuit board.
Please share suggestions.
I have revived this keyboard after great efforts and care since it had leaked batteries stuck in it.
if it was me then I would test the keyboard with another computer (friend, relatives or whatever)
to verify it's not a hardware defect with the keyboard
of cause my first step would be to test it in the guest account/ make a new user and verify it also malfunction there
Well if your keyboard does not work with any computer you may consider purchasing a new one which does?
Too smart of me! but duh :(
I disconnected the keyboard from the Windows laptop so that I can connect to my macbook to test. Now, when I try to bluetooth detect and sync, I am supposed to enter the code and press "Return" key....
But.....I know that the Return key is not working :(
In a way it proves that the keyboard doesn't work with other computers but now it is not connected nor be connected with any!!!
