Sonoma - Studio Displays Not Properly Recognized
So since upgrading to Sonoma, using a dock or plugging Studio Displays directly in, there's an annoying bug where it shows that you're connected to both Studio DIsplays, but you cannot adjust brightness or true tone. True tone icon is just gone, and brightness sliders are grayed out. The only way to fix it seems to be if you unplug the TB4 cable from the back of the display and plug it back in. On a dual studio display setup, you only typically have to unplug one of them. Unplugging from the laptop or the dock doesn't do it, has to be monitor side.
What's even weirder is that I have an MX Master 3S paired as well to my setups...i typically keep it powered off because i use the magic trackpad. I've found that when i pickup the mouse and power it on, THE DISPLAYS FIX THEMSELVES!
what kind of bug is this!? the displays have nothing to do with bluetooth, but activating a bluetooth device fixes the displays to where you can set brightness and true tone again! what?!?!?!
