.js and chunk.js files appear in MacBook Air. Is this normal or is it a malware issue

I had found around 500+ .js and chunk.js files within my Macbook Air. I don't know much about coding and computers. When I open them, there are lines and lines of text (or codes?). I find them annoying as they sometimes get in the way of finding my files. But I'm more worried about being hacked. Is having such files appear normal in Mac or is it possible I have malware issue?

Do you use MS office on your Mac? .js files are javascript files mostly used by MS office

I use MS Office but I never had this problem on any of my previous Mac laptops. Now when I do a spotlight search I end up with a ton of these chunk.js files that appear useless to me and get in the way of finding what I need.
